Research Triangle Park, N.C. – U.S. college juniors are invited to apply for research grants through the AATCC Foundation Institute of Textile Technology (ITT) Undergraduate Research Program.
Up to five awards will be funded each year for research in textile engineering or chemistry, and polymer or materials science, AATCC said. All required application materials must be delivered to ITT by Jan. 16 to qualify for these $2,000 grants; the group said that “if an outstanding proposal is presented, a higher level of funding may be awarded.”
Information can be accessed at www.aatcc.org/foundation/research.htm (on the website of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists) or www.itt.edu, the ITT website.
In addition to the funding, award recipients will have the opportunity to present their research at the ITT spring meeting during their senior year – where students can interact with executives and researchers from major textile companies.
We would love your feedback!
