Austin, Texas – Veteran home textiles executive Bob Dale has left Notra Trading, where he was head of merchandising and sales, and moved here.
"After a lot of consideration, we have moved to Texas where I will evaluate what I will do next. It is not closure," Dale explained.
Emphasizing that the move was not a retirement step, Dale said he is looking for opportunities that could include being a member of a corporate board, the head of a company, or a consultant with high level expertise.
Dale earlier spent more than four years at WestPoint Stevens, most as president of the bed and bath division. Prior to that, he was vp of sales and marketing for Thomaston Mills’ home products division. From
1996 to 1999, he was president and coo of consumer products with Glenoit Mills.
He began his industry career with Fieldcrest Cannon, where he held several positions, including group vp of the bedding division, and executive vp of the Karastan Bigelow rug division.
