UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ —
Hunter Douglas Window Fashions announced that Richard Pellett, formerly vp and general manager of the Window Fashions division, has been promoted to president and general manager.
Pellett began his career with the hard window coverings manufacturer in 1986 as controller and has since held positions including director of administration and vp of finance and administration.
"Throughout Pellett's tenure at Hunter Douglas Window Fashions, he has been instrumental in implementing the changes required to continue the growth of the Window Fashions division," said Hurley Mitchell, president of the company's Manufacturing Group. "He is uniquely qualified and has always exhibited the highest levels of competence, initiative and dedication."
The company's Corporate Marketing Group also announced that three of its workers — Kathy Burdick, Maureen Marrone and Penny Steyer — had been promoted.
Burdick was named director of brand advertising and will continue to be responsible for leading the consumer and trade advertising initiatives of the company as well as brand development activities.
Marrone, the new director of visual merchandising, will be responsible for expanding the company's brand awareness and point-of-sale presence.
The new director of marketing communications is Steyer, who will continue to be responsible for leading and coordinating the company's public relations activities.
All three will continue to report to Jim Mathews, vp of marketing, who said, "Burdick, Marrone and Steyer are each uniquely qualified to fulfill their specific duties. As individuals, they have contributed a great deal to Hunter Douglas, and we look forward to their continued successes in their new roles."
