Mohawk updates rug lineup

Now housed in its new showroom at 295 Fifth Ave. in suite 1412, Mohawk Home will be debuting several new collections of bath rugs, including its Ron Chereskin group and an expansion of spa/luxury looks.
As the licensee for bath rugs, Mohawk Home will participate in this market's launch of menswear designer Ron Chereskin's home collections. About four to six styles of bath rugs will initially launch, said Dennis Fein, vp, sales, and they will coordinate with the licensed shower curtain designs from Maytex Mills. Handmade, machine-made or embroidered, all the styles have some type of design to them that matches the corresponding shower curtain. A combination of cotton and synthetics, the rugs will come in a 2' x 3' size and retail between $19.99 to $29.99.
In addition, Mohawk will increase its spa/hotel collection of bath rugs.
"We're expanding with new designs, colors and textures," said Fein.
Solids, tone-on-tone styles and other designs round out this collection, colored in neutrals. Mohawk's offering 2' x 3' rugs (retailing at $25) and 2' x 4' rugs (retailing at $50).
