New outdoors ‘braidmats’ from cmi

Pawtucket, R.I. – Braided-texture area rugs and accessories manufacturer cmi (Colonial Mills Inc.) has created a new collection of indoor/outdoor braided mats it calls “braidmats.”
The collection employs cmi's trademarked CableLock construction of rope-like braids in soft and thick textures, combined with a double flat-braid. The double braid is constructed from three separate three-piece braids that are then braided together to create one larger, thicker and hefty braid.
The braidmat rugs are made of 100% polypropylene and are resistant to mildew, stains, fading, and bleeding.
“We sell a variety of indoor/outdoor braided-texture rugs, so a line of door mats was the logical next step in the expansion of our product mix – and further signals the importance we’re placing on the outdoor market,” said Donald Scarlata, cmi's president and ceo.
Braidmats feature classic designs, some with a tweed styling, in rectangular shapes. There are five colorways available: carbon black, ash blue, cactus green, blush red, and cork beige.
