Target extends licensing lineup with Amy Coe

-- Home Textiles Today, 12/5/2002 4:38:00 PM

Minneapolis — Although it recently dropped short-lived partnerships with designers Philippe Starck and Todd Oldham, Target Stores is still forging designer deals. The latest: a new partnership with designer Amy Coe for a line of baby bedding, blankets, and nursery home accents.

The exclusive Amy Coe line, which will fall under the personal direction of the children's bedding and accessories designer, is scheduled to be available at all Target stores in January.

The mix-and-match collection will offer bumper pads, sheets and duvets in complementary circus-themed print, floral, plaid dot and diamond prints. Home accessories for the collection will include lamps with fabric shades, wallpaper borders, chenille blankets, diaper bags and a stuffed elephant toy. Prices will range from $3.99 to $39.99.

"Good design should be available to everyone," said Coe. "The collaboration with Target will allow us to reach many new groups of design-savvy families."
