Baltic Linen alters make, improves value

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 9/18/2008 1:23:00 PM

At the New York Market – To remain price competitive while not devaluing new products, Baltic Linen has come up with alternative shower curtain and towel constructions and fabrications for some of its new bath coordinate collections.

Rick Lipton, director of bath coordinates, said there are many examples. Firenze, a matelasse shower curtain in an all-over pattern, can come in cotton for $49.99 or in polyester for $29.99. Arizona and Carmel, which come as $49.99 cotton chenille jacquard shower curtains, can be offered as prints – Arizona on a duck or polycotton, Carmel on bark cloth or slub duck – for $29.99.

“We’re a very good sourcing company, and with all the options available today, we are able to translate fashion into moderate price points,” Lipton told HTT.
