Henderson takes post at Main St.

TYNGSBORO, MA — Doug Henderson has joined Main Street Textiles as vp, sales and marketing.

Henderson will have full responsibility for the Main Street Textiles sales force for all domestic sales including decorative jobber, home textiles, residential and RV with the exception of contract.

Henderson fills a position that has been open since Tom Finneran resigned in 2000. He formerly was executive vp, Mastercraft, a unit of Joan Fabrics/Mastercraft that is owned by Elkin McCallum, who also owns 50 percent of Main Street. He reports to Penny Richards, Main Street's president and ceo.

"We're bringing Doug on board to help us put a large emphasis on upholstery fabrics. But it does not at all indicate any change in our jobber, home textiles and contract involvement, which is growing," Richards said.
