Redmond, Wash. — —
Redmond, Wash. — JLA Home and Eddie Bauer have signed a licensing agreement to create and distribute Eddie Bauer Home textiles for the outdoor lifestyle brand that will debut at the April New York Home Textiles Market.
Scheduled to ship this fall, the line will retail for upper moderate to better price points, and be distributed to department stores, luxury linen catalogs and other home specialty stores. It will include sheets, comforters, duvets, dec pillows, quilts, shams, throws, window and other key products in all-natural fabrications such as twill, linen and cotton.
The new collection will be on display in the JLA Home showrooms in New York and Fremont, Calif., featuring lodge, retreat and craftsman bungalow design aesthetics as well as oversize bedding for sheets, comforters and duvets.
This deal marks the first new licensing agreement signed by Eddie Bauer since the February 2005 announcement that the company would be pursuing licensing opportunities for textiles, garden and decorative accessories rather than operating its own retail and direct division dedicated to home products.
“Utilizing the expertise of JLA Home in sourcing, manufacturing and distribution, combined with the style and lifestyle of the Eddie Bauer brand, promises to be an exciting partnership,” said Mark Kreindler, corporate vp and head of licensing.
“It allows us to extend the contemporary outdoor lifestyle of the Eddie Bauer brand through trusted home product retail outlets,” agreed Don Perinchief, Eddie Bauer's vp, licensing.
