New York — —
New York — Macy's Herald Square launched its new Hotel Collection Shop last week with a special customer event hosted by Jason Oliver Nixon, style director for the magazines Gotham and Hamptons, who gave decorating tips using the collection of bed, bath and barware products.
Introducing Nixon was Cynthia White, vp design for Macy's Home Store, who told Home Textiles Today that the Hotel Collection “continues to evolve and is becoming more elegant.” Nickel heads the new fashion color palette, inspired by the metals in fashion. Green tea and chamomile are soon to follow in the palette “as we reinvent Hotel.”
With 600-count cotton sheets now the best seller, Hotel will feature an 800-count cotton sheet for spring '07. Brand extensions will include tabletop, gifts, travel bags and accessories and “a new brand extension that is secret until next April.”
We would love your feedback!
