Joy & Jake soft-launches new line

By Cecile B. Corral -- Home Textiles Today, 1/19/2004 12:00:00 AM

Home textile and accessory company Joy & Jake — owned and operated by Joy Haizen and Jake Jacobson — recently soft launched a new line of top of bed and decorative pillows.

The announcement was made at an event co-hosted by one of the retailers that will carry the new line, home furnishings boutique and art gallery Bois Designs Inc.

Representing a new direction for the company — beyond 100 percent cotton top-of-bed goods — Joy & Jake have added the new faux suede Peasant Chic collection of standard and euro shams and a duvet cover, featuring an embroidered floral design.

Other coordinates to this collection are a gauze bed skirt and matching rouched standard shams, backed with 100 percent cotton duck

Peasant Chic coordinate items that are also being positioned as stand-alone goods include a new mesh-faux-fur 16-inch square decorative pillow in burgundy and black and a boucle lace 12" x 15" decorative pillow in a caramel colorway.

For the decorative pillow category, Joy & Jake introduced a line of 100 percent shag Mongolian lamb's wool styles in two designs. The Eyeball design comprises 18-inch squares available in navy, orange, light blue and black.
