United Feather & Down to debut value-priced line at HD Expo

Des Plaines, Ill. – Utility bedding manufacturer United Feather & Down is heading to the HD Expo in Las Vegas with an economically positioned product:  The Hospitality Quality Pillow and Pad Set.  

Each set features two United Feather & Down pillows along with a specially crafted mattress pad.  The sets will be offered in two styles – a “Super Topper” version that features a 2.5” thick mattress pad with a fitted skirt, or an “Extra Protection” set featuring a reversible, stain-resistant and water-repellent mattress pad.

“2009 is forecasted to be the first year since 2003 that the U.S. lodging industry will spend less on beds and bedding than in the previous year, yet hotel guests will continue to look for the premium hotel sleep experience that they’ve become accustomed to,” said Stephen Palmer, United Feather & Down co-president. “Our Hospitality Quality Pillow and Pad Set offers hoteliers a happy medium: proven quality and comfort to rejuvenate mattresses and satisfy guests, while remaining an economically viable solution for today’s tighter budgets.”

The Super Topper Pillow and Pad Set features mattress pad constructed in diamond quilting to prevent fill from shifting with use or washing. The pillows constructed from a pre-shrunk 230-thread-count cambric cotton, double needle stitched and finished with cotton piping.

The Extra Protection Pillow and Pad Set’s coordinating pillows feature an 8” diamond quilted cover for an extra layer of soft comfort and support.

Each set is filled with Sensuelle, a high-lofting, poly cluster fiber.

During HD Expo, May 13-16, United Feather & Down will also showcase a group of bedding collections that it has identified for overall value.  In addition, UF&D will show designer hospitality bedding from Eileen West and Joseph Abboud.
