O'Connell Joining Soft-Tex

Robert O'Connell is joining Soft-Tex Manufacturing as evp of sales and marketing, a newly created position reporting to Arthur Perry, Soft-Tex president.

O'Connell previously worked with specialty foam producer Sleep Innovations as vp of sales. Prior to that, O'Connell was with Foamex as vp sales for the bedding division of foam products.

"Bob brings 25 years of experience and a vast knowledge of the memory foam, mattress and basic bedding business," said Perry. "He has worked both sides of the fence in both the operations side of manufacturing as well as in sales and marketing. He will help us grow our business as we develop new product lines. His passion for product innovation is contagious."

Soft-Tex manufactures bed pillows in fiber, feather and foam, mattress pads, feather and fiber beds, as well as a full line of memory foam pillows and toppers. The company brand licenses include Therapedic, Royal Velvet, Charisma and Health Guard.
