McNeil heads Hollander fashion bedding unit

NEW YORK —

Hollander Home Fashions last week announced the promotion of Sandy McNeil to president of the company's fashion bedding division. She reports to ceo Leo Hollander.

McNeil was formerly senior vp of fashion bedding. She assumed all responsibility for merchandising, marketing and sales management in the division. Additionally, she oversees the company's inventory management and profit and loss management center. The company said McNeil's responsibilities encompass an array of tasks, including working with the company's designers, sourcing, merchandising and working with retailers.

"Sandy has been a reliable and invaluable asset with her experience and unmatched fashion bedding expertise," said Jeff Hollander, president and coo. "In her eight-year tenure with Hollander she has proven to be successful in meeting all challenges, including the launch of the strong Laura Ashley utility bedding programs."

Joining Hollander in 1994 as an account executive in the basic bedding division, she worked with a number of key accounts, among them Luxury Linens, Boscov's, Ikea, BJ's Wholesale Club, Filene's and the Marmaxx division of TJX Cos.

McNeil was promoted to the position March 10, but the company announced it last week.

She was earlier promoted to vp in 1999 of the then newly formed Laura Ashley division. She assumed additional responsibilities in 2001 for the mattress pad and cuddlebed division.
