Events Scheduled for Scholarship Cash

The Fashion Institute of Technology will host two breakfasts to raise money for its scholarship program next month, one of the events taking place during the New York Home Textiles Market.
The Home Products Development Department's annual Scholarship Breakfast will take place April 12 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. The breakfast will honor Darlene Daggett, president of U.S. commerce for QVC; Joe Laneve, senior vice president and general merchandise manager for home at Bloomingdale's; Michael Fux, president and CEO of Sleep Innovations; and Lyn Kirby, president and CEO of Ulta Salon Cosmetics and Fragrances.

The Department of International Trade and Marketing will host its first annual scholarship breakfast April 26 from 7:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at FIT's John Reeves Great Hall on 7th Avenue at 28th Street. Honorees will be Gemini Shippers Association and global trade services provider Maersk.
