Keeco still counts on China

Although many U.S.-based vendors may be sourcing their products on a worldwide basis, Keeco's plans when it comes to globalization are simple: stick with China.

All of the vendor's products, whether bedding, window, table linens or decorative pillows, come from China, said Vince Tavani, executive vp.

"We're pretty confident about China," Tavani said. "That's really where the company has its expertise, and we certainly feel like we can get any product we need from there."

In fact, when the company first went into business 19 years ago, Keeco immediately established a production relationship with Chinese manufacturers to supply the hand-crafted products it required. Now the company has offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong and plans to own its own distribution facility are being discussed.
