Ronkonkoma, N.Y. —
Fine silk and fabric house Scalamandre is mounting a "Scalamandre in the City" sale to offer a range of archival fabrics and artifacts.
"An inevitable aspect of our business is over-production," said Bob Bitter, Scalamandre president. "Eventually our storage and archives become full. So while we are relocating our Third Avenue office, we thought our wonderful customers would enjoy some fun and some bargains, while we reclaim much-needed warehouse space at the same time."
Items going on the block include original art, antique Italian vestments and woven "documents."
Shopping at 943 Third Ave. will be open to the public Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until the stock is gone, likely through the end of July.
We would love your feedback!
