Décor By Beader’s Touch pitches printed patterns

-- Home Textiles Today, 3/10/2009 9:37:00 AM

At the New York Market – Taking a step in a different design direction from what its company name implies is Décor by Beader’s Touch.

For the first time, the company this market has added an unembellished, clean-lined printed program of top-of-bed and dec pillows to its assortment.

The bedding collection includes two styles: Bali, which comes in the Balinese Scroll and the Bali Floral patterns; and Obi, a colored floral on a white ground. Available colors for the Obi flower pattern are jade, ivory, blue, sage, light coral and maize.

The components for each include a duvet cover, a bed runner, bed skirt, standard shams and Euro shams.

The dec pillow printed fabric offerings coordinate with the bedding patterns, and have been lightly embellished with wooden bead trim. But there are some other styles, also: Batik Tiles, Basket Batik, Exotic Bamboo, and Fuji Mum.

Rekha Gadhvi, director of design and development, said her company took this new approach to design to reach prices appropriate for today’s economy. Duvets are set at $99 and dec pillows $19.99 to $29.99.

“These are just more affordable,” she said.
