New York —
Department store veteran Frank Guzzetta has been named president of Ralph Lauren Home Collection, a unit of Polo Ralph Lauren Corp., effective Aug. 11.
He will report to Roger Farah, president and coo of Polo Ralph Lauren. A 30-year retailing and management executive, Guzzetta most recently was chairman and ceo of Macy's North division (he retired earlier this year). Previously with May Co., he spent two years as president and ceo of Marshall Field's, and held the same posts at Hecht's/Strawbridge's.
"We are very happy to welcome Frank Guzzetta to Polo Ralph Lauren. His broad-based business expertise and leadership skills will strengthen our management team," said Farah.
Guzzetta succeeds Barbara Deichman, who retired in December. He will assume responsibility for strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Polo Ralph Lauren home collection business. He will oversee home collection sales, licensing, marketing, product management, sourcing and manufacturing, and will work in conjunction with the home collection design and development areas.
