Chambersburg,Pa.– A summer memorial service is being planned for home textiles veteran Robin Stuart, who passed away unexpectedly April 14 at her home. She was 56.

Stuart’s merchandising career included buying positions at several retail companies, among them Richway, Ames Department Stores, and Montgomery Ward. She also worked in product development and import management with American Pacific Enterprises. She turned next to niche retailing when she joined Waccamaw Pottery, and she most recently worked for boutique specialty retailer World Kitchens.

Stuart developed several life-long friends in the industry and was known to be happiest when she had a full plate and multiple challenges.

She is survived by her mother Sue, sister Randy, brother Rick, and nieces Megan and Renee.

Details for the summer memorial are still being worked out. In lieu of flowers, Stuart’s family has requested donations in her memory be made the to the KSU Foundation-Marketing Dept. at Kennesaw State University, Marketing & Professional Sales Dept., 1000 Chastain Road MB 0406, Kennesaw, Ga., 30144. Envelopes should be addressed to the attention of Dr. Keith Tudor.
