Home Textiles Today is pleased to announce the winners of the seventh semi-annual Textiles Industry Award (TiA) competition – our salute to chosen design leaders who exhibited their products at the recent New York markets
Nearly 3,000 votes were cast by by members of the home textiles industry — designers and product developers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers — during the online voting period to determine the following winners among all the producers of new, trend-right home textiles products.
1. Best Eco-Friendly/Organic New Product
Rajboori — Milon coverlets
Made by community weavers of Peace Silk, from cocoons of wild or semi-wild silkworms which are allowed to live out full life cycle, resulting in yarn that is soft, fluffy, and light. Azo-free organic dyes, sun-dried.
2. Best New Energy-Saving Product

Melissa Borrell — Fantasy Shade
Solar screen blocks UV rays, reduces room cooling cost. Made of Vela fabric, has low VOC emissions and is recyclable. Custom printed to fit; designs from Borrell’s photographs.
3. Most Innovative New Product

Croscill — Goddess Cotillion window panels
Paired panels and attached trailing scarf-valances are packaged with illustrated how-to instructions so the consumer can decorate windows in literally dozens of styles.
4. Best New Monochromatic Product

Bliss Living — West Lake bedding ensemble
5. Best New Value Product

Home Source International — Tradition bed ensemble
