GHTA to host “Retailers Best Practices” forum during fair in August

Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA) will host a rotating forum on retail-related topics during the New York International Gift Fair at the Jacob K. Javits Center in mid August.

The seminar, entitled, "GHTA Rotating Forum: Retailer Best Practices Session," will cover a variety of industry-relevant topics, including how sales agencies, retailers and vendors should best communicate with one another.

The luncheon event is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m. August 16 in space 1A02-03 of the Javits Center. A networking session begins prior, at 11:30 a.m. Vouchers, for use at Javits Center concessions will be offered to participants.

Invited to participate are retailers, vendors, sales agencies and sales associates. Industry veterans from the GHTA, including a leading vendor and sales principal, along with members of the GHTA's Retail Advisory Board will facilitate a series of interactive discussions, addressing key business issues and opportunities. Over lunch, participants will share information for effective communication and cooperation among retailers, sales reps and manufacturers, as well as ideas for effective in-store events and promotions.

Moderators for the rotating forum include: Carol Schroeder, Orange Tree Imports; Sherri Ness, Bates Nut Farm/Farmer's Daughter; Rosanne Brown, Venice Stationers; Marc Rice, Fox Premier Sales; and Eartha McClelland, ICU Eyewear.

Tickets must be purchased to attend the event. The price is $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
