Ecommerce sales rose 3% last month on a year-to-year basis, according to consultancy MyBuys.
Revenues from products sold at a discount rose 9%, while sales from merchandise told at list price rose 7%., the company reported.
While the depth of discounting came in at 24% for the month, that marked a 2% improvement over the 26% depth of discount in March 2009.
“Outside of the holiday hangover we saw in January, Q1 showed positive growth in the retailing community with strong months back to back to close out the period,” said Robert Cell, ceo MyBuys, which works with retailers to personalize their ecommerce operations.
