Bentonville, Ark. – In time for spring in the coming weeks, Walmart is rolling out its newest value home décor program dubbed Hometrends.
“The addition of accent pieces – reflective of current colors, textures and designs – can quickly transform a room,” the company said. “Hometrends comprises bedding, bath, dining, furniture, home decor and accessories meant to “reflect the newness of the season and capture a sense of style with modern, nature and global influences.”
Hometrends spans a variety of on-trend colors and contemporary patterns, drawing inspiration from nature in the materials and finishes used on these products. Some items include decorative accessories for less than $15, rugs starting at $11, bedding program for $39.96 and higher and dinnerware sets starting at $35, with coordinating placemats starting at $3.
"The Hometrends line helps Walmart provide an affordable solution for customers who crave great style but don't want to break the bank to achieve it," said Karen Stuckey, svp, home. "
In an odd marketing gamit for a private label line, Walmart noted that its stores will match the price of any local competitor's printed advertisement for an identical product; however it is not applicable to Walmart.com and restrictions apply.
