Textile technology symposium slated for March

ATLANTA -The finishing touches are being put on this year's Textile Symposium North America, which will cover a wide array of topics in the field of technical textiles.
Returning to the Cobb Galleria Centre here on March 13 to 15, the keynote speaker will be Larry Williams of KoSa, who will be presenting "Technical Textiles-Meeting the Challenges of a Demanding Market Place."
As the business director, U.S. region, for KoSa Technical Filament, Williams is responsible for the leadership in sales and marketing, R & D, technical support and customer service for his company.
Topics to be covered during the sessions include high performance fibers/yarns; medical textiles; finishing industrial textiles; government/defense needs; paper making fabrics; rope and cordage; transportation textiles; e-commerce; and current academic research in the industry.
Experts representing universities renowned for cutting-edge research, prominent textile institutes and leading companies will chair the seminars.
Speakers will be coming from Clemson University; Auburn University; North Carolina State University; the Swedish Institute for Fiber and Polymer Research; the American Textile Manufacturers Institute; Cordage Institute; Kelmar Industries; Coatema Engineering; and Ciba Specialty Chemicals.
The symposium is co-sponsored by Messe Frankfurt and Textile World.
