Boston — The Northern Textile Association and the Knitted Textile Association officially voted to merge and become the National Textile Association (NTA), based here.
The new NTA elected William Giblin of Tweave as chairman and Jonathan Stevens of Ames Textile as vice chairman. Karl Spilhaus, NTA, was elected president and secretary; James Robbins, Elastic Fabric of America, as vp; and Henry Truslow III, Sunbury, as treasurer.
NTA expects to complete its survey of members concerning intellectual property right challenges by yearend, Spilhaus said.
