Soft-Tex takes Royal Velvet license

New York, NY – Soft-Tex Manufacturing has landed the license for Royal Velvet and Royal Velvet Big and Soft brands synthetic pillows, mattress pads, and mattress covers in all materials including Visco memory foam. The product will be available to ship in spring 2007.

“The line will be produced with an eye toward elegance and quality and will offer significant value to both the retailer and customer,” said Official Pillowtex LLC, owner and licensor of the brands.

“The addition of the Royal Velvet to our stable of brands is an exciting way to mark our 20th anniversary as a company,” stated Arthur Perry, president and co-owner of Soft-Tex Manufacturing. His company plans to expand its New York showroom to a more modern space at 230 Fifth Avenue, and will move its manufacturing to a new 120,000-sq.-ft. plant near Albany, N.Y.

The license for Royal Velvet down and down alternative bed covering and sleep pillows is held by Blue Ridge Home Fashions.
