Invista bows new Teflon

AT THE NEW YORK MARKET —

Invista, formerly DuPont Textiles and Interiors, is launching a new Advanced Teflon fabric protector for use in bedding and other washable home textiles.

The stain-repelling agent in the finish causes liquid spills to bead up and roll off fabric and also prevents fibers from holding stains and soil, according to the company.

Invista will work with its mill partners this fall for spring and fall 2004 introductions featuring the technology. It will also support the consumer launch with a $7 million "Make Every Day Easy" ad campaign.
