Alexander rejoins WestPoint as vp, marketing

WestPoint, GA — WestPoint Stevens announced that Judi Alexander has rejoined the company as vp, marketing for its Basic Bedding division.

Alexander had worked for the major mill from 1996 until 2000 in a variety of posts, including director of advertising and marketing services. She then left to join Bardwil Linens as senior vp, marketing and product development.

"This position was created by a move to better serve our growing customer base by dividing Basic Bedding sales between Scott Howard and Alan Kennedy, both of whom will function as vp, sales, focusing on different areas," said Art Birkins, president of WestPoint's Basic Bedding division, to whom Alexander reports.

Alexander is based out of the company' Sixth Ave. corporate offices in New York. Reporting to here are William Butler, director of product development, and Jacqueline Zutler, director of creative services.

As a result of Alexander's hiring, Howard is now vp, sales for department stores, Kmart and clubs, and Kennedy is vp, sales for mass and specialty retailers.
