Ikea breaks ground in Centennial, Colo.

Centennial, Colo. – Swedish home furnishings designer and retailer Ikea this week broke ground on what will be its 38^th store in the U.S.

The unit will be the company’s first in the country to incorporate a geothermal component as part of its heating/cooling system, meaning heat will be pumped either from or into the ground, depending on the weather.

Located in suburban Denver, the store is scheduled to open in fall 2011.
