Anna's Names Vp Ops

Specialty home textiles retailer Anna's Linens has named Tony Sullivan vp store operations, a new position.

Sullivan was most recently vp operations at the Foot Locker, Kids' Foot Locker, and Footaction chains.

Scott Gladstone, chief operation officer for 240-store Anna's Linens, said, "Tony's talent and leadership will be instrumental in supporting our goals for growth, including new market development."

Bowles Joins Bank's Board

Springs Global US chairman and ceo Crandall Bowles has been elected to the board of directors of JPMorgan Chase and Co. Bowles will serve on the company's audit and public responsibility committees. JPMorgan Chase has assets of $1.3 trillion and operations in more than 50 countries.

Bowles is also a member of the boards of Deere & Co., the Maya Angelou Research Center on Minority Health, and the African Wildlife Foundation. She is a member of The Business Council, The Business Roundtable and the Committee of 200.

Following Springs' spin-off and merger with Coteminas of Brazil, she also serves as co-chairman and co-ceo of Springs Global, which has revenues of about $2 billion annually.

Parimatex Preps for Bath

Parimatex Group will launch into bath early next year, a new product category for the home fashions company.

Backing the effort is Lisa Gabriele Maurer, who joined Parimatex in August as product development coordinator for bedding and bath.Maurer was previously a designer at Distinctive Design Furniture. At Parimatex, she reports to president and ceo Saif Ijaz.

Since her arrival, Parimatex has broadened its Vintage Chic line refreshed its Classic line.Maurer is also working on developing an urban line.
