Burlington Rug creates new executive vp post

Monticello, AR — Bath, accent and room-sized rug manufacturer Burlington Rug Corp., based here, recently hired Jan Pourquoi as its executive vp.

The position was newly created for Pourquoi.

"We are very pleased to have Jan, with his extensive industry background, take on this key role in our growth plans," said Saeid Korhani, chairman and ceo.

Since 1992 Pourquoi has worked for Beaulieu Rugs, most recently as vp, operations. He started his career in the American machine woven rug business with Providence Rug Co. in 1987.

"I am proud of my accomplishments in our industry and am looking forward to being a part of the Burlington team," Pourquoi said. "We are in a fashion industry where you have to continuously reinvent yourself to remain successful. It is this attitude and the entrepreneurial spirit of Saeid Korhani that make this team successful."

Pourquoi and his family will be relocating here from Dalton, GA.

He reports to Korhani and Roger Miller, president.
