Stein Mart continues stock buy-back program
-- Home Textiles Today, 3/12/2001 12:00:00 AM
Still aggressively buying back its own shares as it seeks to lift its lagging share price, Stein Mart Inc. said it will purchase an additional 2.5 million shares of its own common stock.
The East Coast retailer has already substantially completed the repurchase of 2.5 million shares authorized last March.
As of March 6, Stein Mart shares were trading at $9.94 a share, down more than 37 percent from a 52-week high of $15.88.
