Mohawk readies new scatter rugs

Sugar Valley, GA — Acknowledging the growing popularity of smaller-size rugs among consumers, Mohawk Home is preparing a new collection of scatter rugs that is set to launch in January in Atlanta.
Merle Johnson, vp of marketing, told HTT that the supplier will launch with about 25 designs available in a range of sizes from 21" x 34" through 30" x 50".
The construction of this collection, made at company headquarters here, includes high-pile and mixed textures in either 100 percent, nylon, 100 percent olefin or 100 percent cotton. Mohawk Home will also incorporate a new color palette with the collection. Price points have not yet been set, but the collection will target mass and mid-tier merchants.
