Nourison provides dealers tools to build websites

SADDLE BROOK, NJ -Handmade rug importer Nourison Inc. is giving its 1,200 dealers nationwide a belated Christmas gift: a website, www.rugsites.com.
"It's the perfect way for our customers to create fully functional websites," said Andrew Peykar, Nourison vp. "We wanted to find a way for our customers to have an easy solution for selling our rugs on line. They can integrate this web site [to their existing sites] or use it exclusively."
Partnering with website host provider Kinzan, Nourison launched the new service Jan. 3 and linked it to its existing site, www.nourison.com.
From nourison.com, dealers can pull images of rugs and logos and then upload the images to their new site. They can also upload some of their own images and content, among other functions.
Consumers are then able to shop from dealers' sites; Nourison processes and distributes all orders. But only Nourison rugs can be sold from the rugsites.com site.
"Dealers can't take customers' credit card information or sell rugs that aren't Nourison," Peykar said.
When a customer places an online order, it is Nourison that directly receives a copy of the order, and then completes all the fulfillment of the order.
"In fact, our retailers never have to even see the rugs," Peykar explained. "They just accept the order. We do all the direct fulfillment."
Dealers in turn have the capability to accept orders, check orders and promote their Nourison wares.
We would love your feedback!
