Newell promotes Morris

FREEPORT, IL -Newell Rubbermaid Inc. announced the promotion of Kenneth Morris to vp, new product development.
In his new position, Morris will report directly to Joseph Galli Jr., president and ceo.
Newell Rubbermaid is the parent company of window coverings manufacturers Newell, Kirsch and Levolor.
As part of his duties, Morris' job will be to implement a world-class product development process in each of Newell Rubbermaid's operating units. He must also establish and implement a program to monitor the continuous improvement of the company's product development. Morris must also drive the integration of the product development process with the company's manufacturing and supplier network.
"Ken has over 20 years experience leading highly regarded new product development efforts and a proven track record of delivering continuous improvement in the process and systems behind effective product development," said Galli. "We believe Ken will play a pivotal role in leading the transformation of Newell Rubbermaid into a world-class product development company."
Morris joined Rubbermaid in 1970. He most recently served the company in the capacity of vp, technology.
