Comfortex, LTL partner in wood alloy program

MAPLEWOOD, NY -Comfortex Window Fashions and LTL International have announced an alliance that should benefit window covering retailers and consumers alike.

The two companies will partner to develop wood alloy fabrication programs for Comfortex's Composer Alliance. Composers are fabricators that make custom window treatments and also own retail outlets.

The Dallas-based LTL International has been providing fabrication equipment for the window covering industry since 1980.

Comfortex Window Fashions, based here, will begin marketing and selling several models of LTL's fabrication equipment to composers, allowing them to manufacture Comfortex's complete line of Woodwinds blinds. The equipment may also be used for standard wood blind fabrication.

"The agreement enables Comfortex to provide our composers with high-quality equipment designed to meet the unique needs of a retail fabricator," said John Fitzgerald, executive vp, Comfortex Window Fashions.

As part of the agreement, LTL International will also provide technical support and service to composers that opt to use their equipment. Fabrication equipment is available for immediate shipment.
