Cone Jacquards plant to close

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 5/27/2005 9:45:00 AM

GREENSBORO , N.C. — International Textiles Group (ITG) will close its Cone Jacquards facility in Rutherford County, N.C., and move that weaving business to the Burlington House plant in Reidsville , N.C.

Both Cone Jacquards and Burlington House are units of the Interior Fabrics group of ITG.

The Rutherford plant employs about 200 people, some of whom will be relocated to the Reidsville plant, said Delores Sides, director of corporate communications for ITG. Some equipment also will be moved, she explained. “We want this to be a seamless move,” she emphasized.

The Burlington House plant has capacity for mattress ticking as well as top of the bed fabrics and contract.
