Hemingway moves to larger High Point showroom

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 9/23/2002 12:00:00 AM

The Ernest Hemingway Collection has relocated its showroom here.

The new location, which will be open to visitors for the upcoming High Point show from Oct. 17 to 23, is at 200 Steele St., Suite 141. According to Marla Metzner, president of Fashion Licensing of America Inc. — which will exhibit the collection — the showroom space has doubled in size to 1,500 square feet.

"The environment will be much more comfortable, allowing our product categories individual attention and more display room," said Metzner.

An event marking the opening of the new showroom will take place on Oct. 18 featuring Mina Hemingway, granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway and daughter of Patrick Hemingway, who will cut the ribbon to the showroom formally launching the new site.

New home products will also be showcased under the brand this market season. A collection of wall and table clocks and botanicals will make their debut. In addition, some at-home categories, such as lamps, pillows and throws, bedding, accessories and picture frames, will have updated their products with new designs.
