Surya lauded for presentation values

Calhoun, Ga. – Area and accent rug and home textiles accessory company Surya Inc. was recognized for its showroom presentation and display in mid-January during the America’s Magnificent Carpet Awards ceremony at the AmericasMart.

A panel of judges honored Surya with the Visual Display Award (VDA) – one of four such awards distributed to showrooms with exceptional displays during the Atlanta International Area Rug Market.

Judges’ comments about Surya’s sixth-floor AmericasMart showroom presentation included, “intriguing, artistic motion created throughout the space” as well as “warm, inviting residential furniture groupings” and “fresh and natural” lighting. The company’s window display, they added, “provided dramatic emphasis.”

The awards event was sponsored exclusively by Architectural Digest.

“Surya knows that proper presentation of products is essential to increasing sales and this is just one more way that we are helping our clients succeed,” said Satya Tiwari, Surya’s president.

Surya, established in India in 1976, is a vertically integrated manufacturing company with U.S. operations based in Calhoun, Ga. Aside from its space at the AmericasMart, Surya also operates permanent showrooms in High Point, Las Vegas, New York and New Delhi.
