WPS appoints new sales vp

WEST POINT, GA —

WEST POINT, GA – WestPoint Stevens announced the appointment of John Cafaro to the position of vp, sales, for Kmart, Sears and regional mass retailers, Bed and Bath Division. Cafaro, an employee with the major mill since 1984, when he began his career as a sales representative, will assume his new duties immediately. He was most recently the vp of international business development, where he worked since January 2000. He also worked as vp, Ralph Lauren Home Collection and vp/managing director for the sales and marketing operations in Canada and Central and South America.

"He brings a wealth of sales experience and expertise, both domestic and international, to this very important segment of our business," said Bob Dale, the Bed and Bath Division president to whom Cafaro will report. "We feel that his focus will greatly enhance our service to these customers."

Cafaro's replacement has not yet been named.
