Lillian August names Lieberman manager

NORWALK, CT —

Larry Lieberman has joined Lillian August as general merchandise manager for the five unit retail specialty home furnishings chain based here.

Lieberman, a 25-year retail executive, most recently has been in direct imports and sales for various global manufacturers. He has been a senior executive with ABC Carpet & Home, Macy's East, Macy's West and the former Caldor discount department store.

In his position, which is new for the firm, Lieberman reports to Dan Weiss, president, and John Weiss, coo.

He oversees all merchandising and operations functions. The stores are the retail arm of designer Lillian August and carry furniture, rugs and accessories, as well as home textiles, lighting, gifts and antiques.
