New York – Creative Bath Products has taken over 100% of Toronto-based Bath Creations, a longtime supplier of bath coordinates to the Canadian market.
The acquisition, which becomes effective today, comes about a decade since Creative Bath first took 50% ownership of the company.
Bob Weiss, vp, sales and marketing, told HTT: “It made sense to merge the companies together, although they each have their own p& l statements…We will immediately begin the assimilation process and begin sharing inventories, showrooms, catalogs, web sites, even though both companies will maintain separate balance sheets.”
Creative Bath has hired a new general manager to run Bath Creations’ operations at its 80,000-square-foot facility in Toronto.
The design team has been streamlined and will now work out of Creative Bath’s New York offices and showroom in suite 1000 at 7 West 34th St.
And now Bath Creations will add to its assortment Creative Bath’s storage & organization and housewares products.
Coming soon is a merged website for the two operations.
“It’s great. Now the customer has access to more decorative products,” Weiss continued. “And this allows us to expand our other lines [storage & organization and housewares] into Canada.”
Added Mat Meinzinger, president and ceo, said the merger helps to “increase internal and external efficiencies that will translate to better service levels for [the companies’] customers.”
We would love your feedback!
