Kannapolis, NC — Pillowtex Corporation has reconsidered an earlier plan to sell off its Scottsboro, AL, facility, and today announced that the bath rug manufacturing site will remain part of operations.
"Our management team and creditors all agree that bath rugs should continue to be part of our product mix and will continue to be produced in Scottsboro," said Tony Williams, president and coo.
The 32-year-old plant produces cotton and acrylic bath rugs and bathroom accessories such as toilet seat and tank covers.
