Federated private label to head overseas

The Great Indoors hits Denver again

Sears' The Great Indoors opened its second Denver area location, in its first two-level store here, five miles from Boulder. The store is also bigger than the 135,000 square foot average TGI footprint, at 150,000 square feet. Attached to a freestanding mall and next to a parking deck, the store separated its merchandise: "Public rooms," such as the Great Room, are on the first floor, and "private rooms" of the bed and bath are on the second. The levels are attached by escalators and "cartalators" — escalators for shopping carts. Already the store is doing very well, the company said. Because of the additional space, there is more furniture displayed in this location.

This link allows customers to purchase these fabrics directly from the mill, eliminating the manufacturing and retailing steps in between, and the markups that go with them.
