PCF expands Dockers Home, unveils new technology

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 4/19/2004 12:00:00 AM

SEATTLE — Pacific Coast Feather recently rolled out a line of 300-count products with AllerRest, a special weave developed to block dust mites and allergens.

Items with AllerRest include an oversized bafflebox down comforter, a down blanket with 18 ounces of fill and three pillows — a children’s size in feather and down, and two adult size pillows in down or feather and down.

In addition, the company now has products using the corn-generated Ingeo fabric. It is offering two kinds of pillows (cluster or garneted), a comforter and an Ingeo fleece mattress topper as an alternative to wool fleece because of its inherent wicking properties. “We’ve improved the value across the whole line by increasing thread counts or lowering price in some instances,” added Fritz Kruger, vice president of marketing at Pacific Coast Feather.
