WASHINGTON — Kravet Fabrics created a special color for the Laura Ashley fabrics that covered the tables at the First Lady's Luncheon, an annual event since 1912. This year's luncheon, held earlier this month, honored Laura Bush, the wife of President George Bush.
Attending this year were spouses of current and former members of Congress, spouses of Supreme Court justices and spouses of members of the Cabinet. Also attending were former first ladies.
The Laura Ashley print, Merrywood, was used in a special chambray color for the tablecloths. Kravet holds the license to produce decorative fabrics under the Laura Ashley name.
