New York – Area rugs and home textiles accessories designer Liora Manné is gearing up to show her latest collections at the upcoming High Point Market in April in a new venue – her newly opened showroom.
Manné, who has long licensed her work to White Plains, NY-based area rug company Trans-Ocean, is opening her new High Point showroom in space G367 in building IHFC – next door to Trans-Ocean’s site in G365.
Among her new offerings for High Point are new fabrics weights of 100% polyester microfiber that are used in upholstery, decorative pillows and fashion accessories, such as tote bags. In the area rug category via her partnership with Trans-Ocean, she will be showing new hand-knotted, hand-tufted and machine-loomed rugs as well as “Everywhere”-branded indoor/outdoor rugs.
A 20-year veteran of the industry, Manné is known for her patented “Lamontage” design process, which combines handmade techniques with high-tech processing. Acrylic fibers are structured by hand and then mechanically interlocked by needle-punching to create nonwoven textiles that resemble felt. Using nanotechnology, an Environmental Protection Agency-approved antimicrobial finish is permanently embedded in the material to prevent deterioration, odor retention and mildew. All “Lamontage” products and materials can be used both indoors and outdoors and are antimicrobial, handmade, and customizable in size, shape and color.
High Point market is scheduled form April 17 to 22.
