Caesarea Creations Bows Under the Canopy Line

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/5/2006 12:00:00 AM

Caesarea Creations is coming out with a slate of new introductions that focus on eco-friendly and microfiber constructions.

The biggest news: the company has signed a licensing agreement with Under the Canopy to produce a line of organic cotton bath rugs and area rugs. Under the Canopy is a pioneer in the organic fashion industry, with an emphasis on clothing made of organic cotton, Tencel (a cellulose fiber), hemp, silks and wool as well as Eco-Fleece, which is made from recycled soda bottles.

Caesarea is also lunching a blended fiber made with corn. The product not only taps into the interest in working with renewable resources, but “corn gives the product a sheen and adds a soft touch,” said Gidi Landau, senior vp, sales and marketing.

Another new introduction, Caesar MicroCotton, is an exclusive cotton blend which “brings out the best in cotton and microfiber,” Landau said. The finished product has improved absorbency and softness.

The company is also expanding its Spa collection, adding more design elements, he added.
