Carpenter Buys Dumo

Leading comfort cushioning product manufacturer Carpenter Co. has purchased Dumo NV, a Belgian manufacturer of urethane foam.
A major European supplier of foam to the furniture, bedding and automotive industries, Dumo has a manufacturing operation in Roeselare, Belgium and converting operations in the Netherlands, France, and Germany.
"Dumo is a great acquisition for Carpenter Co." said Ed Malechek, Carpenter evp. "They are a very good company with talented and dedicated people. They appear to be a natural fit."
Hendrik Kesteloot remains as managing director of Carpenter-Dumo, while Freddy Vermeulen will remain in charge of sales and marketing activities.
